These time limited services are available to eligible households to develop and carry out a disaster recovery plan, providing guidance, advice, and referral in obtaining a service. NICAO is also able to assist in obtaining resources from various providers that address a serious need essential to the household to prevent, mitigate or overcome a disaster-related hardship, injury or adverse condition.

United Way Housing Assistance

A partnership between NICAO and the United Way assists low income families who are at risk of being homeless to work towards becoming stable. This program provides self-sufficiency development services to families experiencing financial crisis. It allows for a onetime payment to individual’s landlord or mortgage company to help with stability. Funds are on a limited basis.

Please contact (800) 873-1899 for more information.
