Job Title: Family Advocate
Location: Eastern (Charles City, Clarksville, etc)
Employment Type: Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day during the school year. Summers off. 203 days total.

About the Role:
As a Family Advocate, you will play a vital role in partnering with families to support their goals and connect them with resources that promote well-being, stability, and school readiness. You’ll work directly with families and staff to build strong, supportive relationships that help children thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish positive, goal-oriented partnerships with families
Assist families in setting and achieving individualized family goals
Connect families with community resources such as housing, education, health, and employment services
Support attendance, engagement, and participation in Head Start services
Maintain accurate and confidential records and documentation
Collaborate with teachers, health staff, and community partners to support family needs
Conduct home visits and family conferences as required
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in human services, social work, family studies, or related field required. (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of community resources and ability to make appropriate referrals
Organized, compassionate, and able to manage multiple tasks
