🕒 Employment Type: Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day during the school year. Summers off. 203 days total.💼 Department: Head Start

About the Role:
As a Family Advocate, you will play a vital role in partnering with families to support their goals and connect them with resources that promote well-being, stability, and school readiness. You’ll work directly with families and staff to build strong, supportive relationships that help children thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish positive, goal-oriented partnerships with families

  • Assist families in setting and achieving individualized family goals

  • Connect families with community resources such as housing, education, health, and employment services

  • Support attendance, engagement, and participation in Head Start services

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records and documentation

  • Collaborate with teachers, health staff, and community partners to support family needs

  • Conduct home visits and family conferences as required

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in human services, social work, family studies, or related field required. (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to make appropriate referrals

  • Organized, compassionate, and able to manage multiple tasks
