North Iowa Community Action Organization (NICAO) is a 501(c)3 private non-profit organization operating in North Central Iowa. Charitable donations made to NICAO are always needed and may have a tax benefit to you, the donor. If you would like to donate, you can:
- Send a check to our administrative office at NICAO, PO Box 1627, Mason City, IA, 50402. You can donate to a specific program or purpose within NICAO, just indicate where you'd like your donation to be applied when donating.
- Contact the Family Resource Center at (641) 423-7766 or (800) 873-1899 for more information about donations to our Basic Essentials Pantry.
Non-cash donations must be evaluated for suitability prior to acceptance.
The Adopt-A-Child Program
This program meets the needs of Head Start children who do not have warm coats, snow pants, boots, hats, or mittens for winter weather in North Iowa by donations of clothing or cash gifts to purchase suitable garments for eligible children.
